SAN DIEGO, Calif. — Porn star-turned-political candidate Mary Carey has entered the race for governor for a second time.

Carey brought her campaign to the campus of San Diego State University on Wednesday and talked about some of the issues facing California, including education and the environment.

Critics said Carey’s campaign is simply a vehicle to promote her career and the adult film industry itself, and she doesn’t dispute that.

“I lobby for it because I want people to see that girls have something. We’re not just a bunch of big-boobed bimbos,” Carey said.

Carey ran for governor in the 2003 recall election, finishing 10th in a field of more than 100 candidates.

Legends’ Week Four Picks

Posted on September 30th, 2006 in Uncategorized | Comments Off

It’s been crazy for the staff this week with our adult & other news page going to hell in a hand basket, but they were able to think football for a time late Saturday. Their Week 3 picks sucked [8-6 and 32-14 for the season]. So with all the added stress, take their picks with a grain of salt.

Dallas 24 Tennessee 17 - Dallas will not need to dial 911 for this game.

Miami 21 Houston 14 - Teams get healthy when they play the Texans. But we wouldn’t be surprised if the Texans pull a mild upset.

Atlanta 31 Arizona 17 - After the beating the Saints gave the Falcons last week, they’ll look to return the favor against the Cardinals Sunday.

Indianapolis 35 Jets 14 - Colts kick it into high gear.

Minnesota 21 Buffalo 17 - Vikings should have won their game last week against the Bears. They will not let this game slip by.

Baltimore 14 San Diego 10 - This could be the game of the week. Take the Ravens at home.

Kansas City 24 San Francisco 17 - 49ers are getting better by the week, but the Chiefs are coming off a bye and should be well rested.

Carolina 28 New Orleans 24 - Panthers continue to get healthy.

St. Louis 21 Lions 17 - A big homecoming for Lions coach Mike Martz.

Jacksonville 28 Redskins 17 - Jags should be able to handle the most over priced team in the League for the way they have played.

Cleveland 3 Raiders 2 - A “friends & family” game. No one else cares.

Cincinnati 24 New England 17 - Bengals looking like an early Super Bowl favorite.

Chicago 17 Seattle 14 - Should be a great game.

Philadelphia 28 Green Bay 14 - Will be a difficult game to watch if you’re a Packer-Backer.
